Cafe Coffee Day, Agra
CCD has always been ‘Our Kinda’ place for me and my best friend Tanuj. Our friendship actually took new shapes and dimensions here. There are a number of incidents where CCD has played a special part. It was 2008, when we had our first fight and we met at CCD Agra. To sort things out. It was a sort of a ‘Break ke Baad’ meeting and the moment we entered the place, everything fell into place automatically. It was the first time I tasted Black coffee. And after that, ‘Black Coffee’ became our personal favourite. For me ‘Black Coffee’ means a meeting with him. And since then until today, CCD has always been a place to discuss things, hang out, sort out our fights, transferring movies et al. And one more person has joined the gang - Atul. Tanuj’s childhood friend and a very good friend of mine too. For the last two times, he is the one who has actually planned ‘meetings’ at CCD for me and Tanuj to sort our ‘Huge and never-ending’ fights. I have a plethora of memories in this place. The first ‘miniature’ book I wrote for Tanuj’s birthday, the first time when I thought it’s all over, the first time I actually realized that Atul has become a very good friend, the first time I realized what their friendship mean to me, the first time I spent time with myself alone, the first time I cried in front of Atul, the first time I laughed like mad with them, the mess I and Atul created with the ‘ice-cubes’, the fights I sorted out with Tanuj – CCD has always been in the picture. It has become our official ‘Adda’ now. No matter with whom I go there and what I order… it will always remind me of them and our time together.
